Membership Info

Club membership dues are $15/year. They are due in January, and will be pro-rated for new members who join mid-year. NCAS membership benefits include: an email account, web space, a discount on Sky and Telescope ($32.95/yr) and Astronomy ($34/yr) magazines, use of club equipment and books, and a membership in the Astronomical League (including the Reflector magazine). Dues can be paid to the club treasurer - or another officer - at a club meeting.

Mailing List Info

A number of mailing lists are supported. Membership on the lists is open to everyone, but subscription requests are moderated. Only approved subscribers may post to the lists at the following addresses (append "@ncastro.org" to the address or use the javascript-based link, if available):

• club-news : NCAS news and events/activities in Northern Colorado

• astro-news : Articles/resources on astronomy topics and discussion

• observe : Current/upcoming special observing targets (comets, supernovae, ...)

• image : Astrophotography equipment/techniques and images to share

• look-now : Urgent notice of short-lived events (aurora, meteor storms, flares, ...)

• dark-site : Dark sky site conditions and observing trip planning/coordination

Email Account Info

Club members get an email account (or address) on the ncastro.org domain. Contact the webmaster with your desired login name (default is "lastname_initial"). Please indicate which you prefer:

• Email account (with storage) - accessible from the web and/or your own email program

• Forwarding from your ncastro.org address to an existing account

To setup email access, use:

• Login: Your e-mail address (i.e. yourname with "@ncastro.org" appended)

• Password: Provided on account setup, please change on 1st use

• Incoming POP3 Server: mail.ncastro.org

• Outgoing (SMTP) Server: mail.ncastro.org

To access your email account via a web browser:

• Login page

• Password Change page

Web Space Info

For members who would like to create their own web content, contact the webmaster to set up a subdomain for you (i.e. http://yourname.ncastro.org will be your site)
